James Moore Bio
James Moore had a late foray into the world of Stand-up comedy, stepping on-stage for the very first time in 2003. But life experience translates into funny. The kind of funny you can only get with a lot of life experience!
An often requested emcee and opener, James brings a relaxed, easy going style to the stage.

With performances all across western Canada & Ontario, Hawaii & Beijing China, James is as entertaining as he is tall.
In 2006 James received his first national exposure and was selected as one of Canada’s top new and emerging comedians, by CBC Radio 1’s “So, You Think You’re Funny?”
2008 & 2011 were big years for James! With two invitations to showcase for the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and as a 2 time finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh-Off.
With 9 consecutive performances, James has appeared annually at the Kootenay Gut Buster in Crawford Bay BC, since its inception in 2005.
Late in 2012, James was cast in his first a made for TV pilot, “The Funnier Side.” Playing the part of an angry 1970’s Nixon era hippie-comic that emerges from a crate into the 21st century, still spitting Nixon jokes! James auditioned and was selected for the part without his knowledge, during a performance at a comedy club. After shooting wrapped, one of the producers remarked that he was their choice for the part because of his “unmistakeable look, commanding voice & funny delivery.”
James has multiple appearances at the YYComedy Festival in Calgary to his credit; including producing & hosting several festival shows.
With a laundry list of successful corporate performances and fund raisers, including: 5 consecutive performances for BOMA Calgary at their annual golf tournament, The United Way of Calgary, Inn from the Cold, Epilepsy Association of Calgary, Southern Alberta Flood Relief, to name a few.
